In this FREE family concert, a young boy is convinced his mother has rented out the upstairs room to a madman. That boarder is the cantankerously eccentric deaf composer Ludwig Van Beethoven who is busy composing his Ninth Symphony. The musical genius of Beethoven is magically illuminated as two actors share anecdotes and observations based on true incidents from Beethoven’s life in this family-friendly adventure full of history, drama, music and fun! Thursday, 7/28 starts at 6pm. Riverwalk Center, 150 W. Adams Ave. Breckenridge, CO 80424

1st Battle on the Blue skateboard competition
This Saturday, the town of Breckenridge partners with Colorado Springs nonprofit Ska8-Strong for the first-ever Battle on the Blue, an all-ages skateboard event held on the concrete ledges, bowls and ramps at the Breckenridge skate park.
“We have one of the best skate parks in the state,” said Reid Bartelt, special events lead for the town of Breck. “That’s a huge draw for out-of-town skateboarders. What’s fun about this is I don’t know if I’m planning for 20 or 200 (people). We’ll find out on Saturday morning.”
